Blk + Home Spotlight: Meet Vic!

Victoria Adesanmi Headshot Album

We ran into Vic when she was a collaborator for major brands. She had the CUTEST studio and left us wanting more of her aesthetic. Fast forward and she has made her design dreams come true! It’s been inspiring following her design journey.

Tell the Homies about yourself!

I’m Victoria Adesanmi, an interior designer and creative director based in Los Angeles, CA. I launched my career as a color + material designer at Adidas where I worked on footwear products in collaboration with powerhouses like Kanye West, Jonah Hill, and Beyoncé. However, last year I decided to take a leap of faith and expand my career to start my very own design studio – Aesthetics Studios, a multidisciplinary design studio that focuses on interior design, creative direction, and everyday objects through storytelling and reimagination.

What do you love about your home?

It’s so peaceful. It’s truly a safe haven where I can escape

What challenges have you faced obtaining or decorating your home (if any)?

For one I have expensive taste [laughs] and having patience for sure. I wanted to spend some time getting acquainted in my home before buying any new furniture because I knew over time how I’d utilize my space would change. Furniture is an investment and I wanted to make sure that I was in love with everything that I purchased.

I’m Nigerian, so you can definitely catch me dancing around the crib to Afrobeats, especially Burna Boy or Asake. I’m a fan of Amapiano as well!

What’s the most expensive purchase in your home?

My Lenyx Sofa from CB2. I am obsessed with my sofa and don’t have a single regret with this purchase.

Name some of your go-to places for home decor.

* HD Buttercup * CB2 * Pop Up Home * BADLANDS vintage * Claude Home

What’s next for you in your home journey?

I’m a dreamer! I’d love to buy land like Jay Z said on On To The Next One.   “Bought the land, tore the MF’n house down. Bought the car, tore the MF’n roof off.”

Whats your one piece of advice for the B+H Homies that want to enhance their space?

Cop a statement piece. It can be a piece of furniture or a decorative accent. It’s the best ice breaker to start a conversation when guests pull up to your crib. It’s like walking into a room and you’re wearing a bomb outfit and folks are gassing you up and asking you all the details.

Do you have a website that you want to share?
